REBEL
Commonwealth Projects has been busy working on the production of REBEL for James Franco and the Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition includes incredibly talented artists that we admire and are thrilled to be able to work with. We’ve been involved with the project since its very beginning so we’re more than excited to see it come together in such an outstanding way. The show is located at the JF Chen space in Hollywood. The artists included in the show are James Franco, Douglas Gordon, Harmony Korine, Damon McCarthy, Paul McCarthy, Terry Richardson, Ed Ruscha, and Aaron Young. We hope to see you all at the opening!
M C A
One of our recent productions, Transmission LA at MOCA, curated by Mike D of the Beastie Boys closed this weekend- check out the main page to see the documentation of the Ben Jones video installation we put together. Commonwealth was deeply saddened to here of the passing of Adam Yauch during the final days of the exhibition. The sound of the Beastie Boys isn’t a stranger to the CWP office so thanks for sharing, MCA . Rest in peace!
Metropolis
Good looks at LACMA! Check out this short film on Chris Burden’s new kinetic sculpture.
New Frontier
Commonwealth Projects is in the midst of production on a new multi-media installation called New Frontier at the Sundance Film Festival. CWP was hired to design and produce the exhibition and create the identity for the satellite show that hosts a variety of installations by a number of film makers and video artists. Additionally, CWP has the pleasure of teaming up with the Utah based architecture firm, Imbue Design, to create a large-scale ice sculpture to be installed outside the venue.

LIVE
We recently uploaded a number of our video based projects online for everyone to see. Our vimeo page hosts documentation of a Sigur Ros performance at MoMA as part of an Olafur Eliasson exhibition, a video piece created for Echelon, and a cut of Omer Fast’s film, Five Thousand Feet Is The Best. Check them out below or on our main page!
