Photography/video campaign produced by CWP for iconic California culinary institution Chez Panisse and Alice Waters’ Edible Schoolyard Project in Berkeley, California, a pioneering initiative that transforms traditional education by integrating hands-on organic gardening and cooking into the school curriculum.
Chez Panisse needs no real introduction in the culinary world, but for the unfamiliar, please allow us to lay a brief primer. Alice Waters founded the restaurant in Berkeley, California in 1971 with a simple approach that was instinctual in France but not quite commonplace in the USA, to focus on local ingredients and form a relationship between the region and its bounty. Between 1977 and 1983, the restaurant came into its focus as they established what we now know as “California” or “New American” cuisine.
