THE UNDERGROUND MUSEUM: SUMMER FILM SCREENING

SPATIAL DESIGN

Founded by artists Noah and Karon Davis in 2012, The Underground Museum (The UM) was an arts and culture center operating out of four converted storefronts in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. The museum bring art experiences traditionally reserved for major institutions to diverse audiences for free. The UM believed that art is an essential part of a vibrant, just, and healthy society and that increasing access to art will inspire, educate, and transform lives. As an integral part of our family, Noah and Karon Davis’ were proponents of community gatherings and education, and the Summer Film Screenings (designed and installed by UM board members Commonwealth Projects) brought together the neighborhoods.
